From meeting on a dating app in Nashville, Tennessee to a heartfelt proposal at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden surrounded by family, Brenda and Erik's modern love story led to a timeless wedding at The Grand at Willow Springs in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Erik and I met on a dating app! We were both new to Nashville, TN. Erik proposed to me at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden with all of our family present and it truly was the best day ever!
THE WEDDING VENUE
We got married at the Grand at Willow Springs in Prairie Grove Arkansas. We both love the Northwest Arkansas area and when we were looking for venues we wanted something beautiful that would truly not need much to be the background for our wedding day! From the beautiful chapel to the grand reception area, we truly saw ourselves saying yes at the Grand!
THE BRIDAL OUTFITS
For my
getting ready outfit, I was looking for something that could be repurposed post wedding day along with being meaningful, beautiful and timeless. I was searching all over social media when I came across
Lee & McCabe on TikTok! I saw one bride wearing it and knew I wanted to wear it on my wedding day. My younger sister helped me finalize this outfit so we could repurpose the dress as something borrowed for her big day! I wanted to honor my African heritage during my wedding and my dream wedding dress designer, Alonuko Bridal, is founded by a woman with Nigerian heritage, I always had her dresses on my Pinterest Board, therefore when I had the opportunity to attend her trunk show in Houston, I knew it was a no- brainer! I found my dream dress a day after I got engaged! My party dress was something I put on for comfort so I could truly let go and let loose! I got this from LuLus.

ADVICE TO FUTURE BRIDES
My biggest advice for this season of wedding planning and wedding day is to truly enjoy and embrace every single moment! When can you have all your loved ones in one room celebrating the love between you and your soon to be husband! Remember you are not planning for one day but truly the beginning of your forever, make planning fun (have date nights and take all the pictures). I loved how intentional Erik and I were about truly spending each moment of our wedding day together, we made it our goal to not leave each other's side all night!
