A Home Away From Home Wedding in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin

From a college love story at the University of Wisconsin to a heartfelt proposal along the Mississippi Riverwalk, this romantic journey led to a timeless lakeside wedding at The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake—a place the bride Greta has always cherished as her “home away from home.”

THE COUPLE

Anthony and I met during our freshman year of college at UW-La Crosse in 2016. Seven years later, we planned a weekend visit to our college town where he proposed on the Mississippi Riverwalk. He surprised me even more by having both of our families there to celebrate our engagement!

THE VENUE

We got married at The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin—my family’s home away from home since I was a little girl. The countless memories, timeless charm and beautiful lake have always held such a special place in my heart.

THE BRIDAL OUTFITS

On the morning of my wedding, I wanted something that felt elegant, timeless, and unique, and the Lee & McCabe Amore slip dress checked every single box. My ceremony gown was inspired by none other than Bridget Bahl; from the moment I saw Colby’s Adrienne dress, my heart was completely set — truly my favorite dress of all time. Millanova has always been one of my dream bridal designers, and when I discovered the Judith Mini, I was instantly obsessed. The structure, floral appliqué, pearls, and gloves were beyond stunning — there truly aren’t words to capture the beauty and detail of that dress.

FUN WEDDING DETAIL

One of my favorite moments was having all four of our grandmas as our flower grandmas. Watching them toss petals before our “I do” was the sweetest, most meaningful way to begin forever — generations of love leading the way.
